KITTU - CEMENT PRIMER (WATER BASE)
Delite Cement Primer is an alkali-resistant primer specially formulated for new plaster and cement walls. Fresh plaster releases alkali (salts) that can damage paint films, cause peeling, and discoloration. Cement Primer creates a strong chemical barrier against alkali attack while providing excellent adhesion between the wall surface and topcoat. It seals porous cement surfaces, reduces paint absorption, and prevents efflorescence (white salt deposits). This is an essential first step after wall putty and before applying any emulsion paint. Suitable for both interior and exterior new construction work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need cement primer on new walls?
New plaster walls release alkali that can damage paint. Cement primer blocks alkali penetration, prevents peeling, and ensures your paint lasts longer.
Can I skip primer and apply paint directly?
Not recommended. Without primer, paint may peel, discolor, or develop efflorescence within months. Primer saves money long-term by protecting the topcoat.
Is cement primer the same as wall primer?
Cement primer is specifically designed for new cement/plaster surfaces with alkali-blocking properties. General wall primer is for repainting previously painted surfaces.
