How to Use KEFIL Patented Wood Filler

A complete step-by-step guide to using our patented KEFIL Wood Filler for permanent, zero-shrinkage wood crack repair in furniture and plywood.

The Patented KEFIL Advantage for Indian Wood Industries

KEFIL Wood Filler is not your standard wood putty. Proudly manufactured by Delite Paints in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, it is a patented, zero-shrinkage wood filler designed specifically for the Indian furniture and plywood industries. When mixed with water, it sets rock-hard and bonds seamlessly with all types of wood grain.

Watch It in Action

Before reading the steps below, watch our quick video demonstration to see just how easy it is to mix and apply the KEFIL Wood Filler.

1. Mixing Instructions for KEFIL Powder

Take the required amount of KEFIL powder in a clean container. Slowly add clean water and mix until you achieve a thick, workable paste consistency (similar to peanut butter). Because KEFIL is an advanced industrial-grade formulation, mix only what you can use immediately as it has an instant touch-dry feature.

2. Application Process for Wood Cracks

  1. Ensure the crack, pinhole, or knot is completely free from loose dust, dirt, and oil.
  2. Using a putty knife, press the KEFIL paste firmly into the crack. Ensure the crack is completely filled from the bottom up to eliminate any air pockets.
  3. Leave a slight mound over the crack, as our patented formula does not shrink and is highly sandable.

3. Drying, Sanding, and Topcoats

Allow the filler to dry completely. While touch dry occurs in minutes, wait 3-4 hours before sanding. Use 180-220 grit sandpaper to level the filler flush with the wood surface. The resulting finish will be glass-smooth and ready to accept any topcoat, including our Melamine Wood Finish, polish, or laminate adhesive.
